Pay attention to what you love.
Make sure you can do this without needing to defend it against others or how you fear others will see you in the love.
Like, if you love rugby without needing to defend it you might enjoy good seats to the game but you won’t knock someone over to get them just to prove you are fan number one or whatever.
Indeed, if you pay attention to what you love and love it ever more deeply you will be all the more likely to want to give it away, to offer the good seats to someone who needs them more than you do, maybe in particular someone who is young.
The nature of our badly made selves is that we must suffer through our own ridiculousness to learn that the surest way through almost any problem, real or imagined, is to help someone else, that giving of what you love is better than the having of it.
But start here: pay attention to what you love.
