Every country you’ve ever heard of has stinger missiles and “lethal aid” to send to Ukraine.
O.K. they need it now.
But isn’t it a little concerning how much lethal aid there is in the world?
Now . . . now Russia has crossed a line of bad behavior that demands a response, a line China did not cross in Hong Kong or America does not cross with its feeble response to climate change or which we and other nations have not, apparently, crossed repeatedly in these last few decades.
Sure Russia’s line crossing is more obvious and the united response of the Ukrainian people draws attention to that as to the obvious wackiness of Putin.
Still, I think it is fair to say that if getting to participate in how the world does its banking or being alowed to fly through global air space is what stamps you as a good neighbor, we’ve handed out that stamp a little too generously, might have withheld it more often if what we want is to hold each other accountable to better behaivior.
Since the global village failed to act together facing pandemic, let’s see if we can learn from Hitler 2.0.
