It is always been a mystery to me why kindergartens are not built on the same grounds as old age homes. Surely it would be a win-win to have lots of babysitters around those who would naturally make great grandpa and great grandma happy.
I suppose the argument against this would be that little kids would have to learn about death. But I am quite sure that they would be able to do this and that this learning would serve them well for later life.
We so typically undersell what five-year-olds can navigate.
Along these lines, what about cool school? At cool school teenagers teach the adults how to be cool: cool at the dance, cool playing video games, cool talking about sex. Twenty teens teaching their English teacher what to wear, helping their science teacher how to win lunch in the dining hall.
It would be a major challenge for these teens, of course, but not only would they help make the adults around them cooler, they would see where they are going and adjust accordingly.
