Candles At Noon
I am told to light candles.
It is winter and I live, if not in Iceland or Norway, a place desperate for sun even by the standards of my New England birth place this time of year.
Light candles. Bring in boughs of evergreen. Spruce up the interior with what's missing in the exterior.
These things I do. It helps.

Mo sends a video of his just learning to walk son standing in six inches of water. Holding mom's hand, with boots to make the operation seamless, there is. no reason not to plop one's foot down in the puddle as fast and firmly as possible. And then do the same with the other foot. Over and over. Now and now and now. The fantastic physics of splash. A quick look up at mom, a check back at dad. And repeat. By the look on his face, it helps.
