In their slightly hokey but mostly useful book, The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership, Jim Dethmer and Diana Chapman say, “All drama in leadership and life is caused by the need to be right. Letting go of that need is a radical shift all great leaders make.”
Superimpose that idea on the dialogue that takes place in the public square of Twitter, YouTube comments, political campaigns, and so forth.
“Being right,” they say later isn’t the problem. Wanting and needing and fighting to prove you are is.
Imagine a global dialogue of curiosity and exploration rather than certainty and bombast.
