A Day Of Hard Nothing
When television was the thing, it was like a bad fireplace. Not warm, but something to huddle up next to.
Computers are like black holes. You can spend all day working on one and not even end up with pages to burn, as you would with a typewriter,
It isn’t always like this, of course. Just as the T.V. could be cool, rather than cold, the computer can consume you with conectivity, as everyone knows.
But somehow I have spent all day today hitting the keys with nothing tangible to show for it.
Damn it.
The flip side of all the power we have in 2022 to “put things into the world” is the pwoer for a day to get sucked into somewhere--some nowhere--that did not even exist when T.V was the thing we could at least waste time huddling next to.
